HGV Mechanic – Cookstown
Cpl NI are working with a well-established company to recruit for an experienced HGV Mechanic. This role is full-time and permanent.
Duties:
· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles, including low loaders, HIAB cranes, tractor units, and rigid trucks.
· Deliver excellent customer service and professionally represent the company at all times.
· Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using company diagnostic software, and complete necessary repairs.
· Coordinate with the Stores team to source appropriate parts.
· Provide occasional roadside assistance and breakdown support.
· Accurately complete all service documentation and job records within set timeframes.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment, adhering to all health and safety procedures and standards.
Criteria:
· Proven experience as a mechanic, ideally working with a variety of heavy vehicles.
· Strong proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
· Solid background in diesel engine maintenance and repair.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· A team player with a focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail.
· Previous experience in the truck and trailer industry is essential.
· A recognised mechanic qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
· Welding skills would be an advantage.
· A full, valid driving licence is required.
