· Lead site IT function to meet site, business and company objectives, and in line with corporate IT strategy.
· Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures in areas of responsibility – Associated facilities, IT equipment and office areas. All operational areas to implement EHS site standards in support of safety, environment and occupational health goals and to ensure continued certification to ISO14001, 45001, 50001. Proactively participate in site EHS operations through gemba and SOR investigation and action planning.
· Establish and maintain site IT strategy for infrastructure, applications, communications and compliance in partnership with corporate IT functions and site leadership to meet the needs of our business while meeting established corporate strategy and standards.
· Provide leadership on IT policies, procedures and standards by taking technology innovation and compliance requirements into account when planning and executing activities.
· Develop site IT Infrastructure, computing, communications systems and applications capacity in line with facilities, equipment and personnel requirements.
· Manage Information Technology functions within the plant to ensure maximum infrastructure and applications uptime availability in support of business execution.
· Ensure successful HPRA and FDA/Regulatory inspections, by consistently delivering a high level of quality compliance in addition to maintaining the IT areas, systems and processes in an ‘audit readiness’ status. Participate in both internal and external audits of the facility, processes and products.
· · Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of site IT infrastructure and applications as follows :
· o Physical and virtual server hardware and operating systems, communications infrastructure and desktop hardware and accessories – both owned and leased.
· o Datacenters at site location.
· o Enterprise storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and storage networking and connectivity systems.
· o Database management systems. This includes but is not limited to MSSQL and Oracle.
· o Business and process applications in support of business functions
· o Manage an accurate inventory of infrastructure and user hardware and devices.
· o Manage the physical security of all infrastructure hardware and devices, in accordance with company, FDA and other regulatory guidelines.
· o Manage and maintains compliant documentation for all infrastructure hardware and software.
· o Set standards for IT hardware installation and cabling systems
· o Version and lifecycle management for infrastructure, database and application to ensure operational support and availability.
· · Lead the implementation of regular/periodic IT management processes as follows :
· o Use of IT Help Desk processes to ensure end user incidents (tickets) are logged, dispatched, escalated, and resolved efficiently to minimise user and system downtime.
· o Enterprise data backup and recovery systems, ensuring that backups are routinely monitored and maintained in accordance with published standards and that documentation is continuously maintained.
· o Application administration (Business, Manufacturing, QC, QMS) for software configuration, user access, database table space, and maintenance of Empower system.
· · Lead delivery of IT System Project portfolio, ensuring partnership with system owners and users to deliver business applications aligned to corporate and site strategy
· o Ensure clearly defined scope, delivery and role expectations are agreed with project partners.
· o Ensure funding approval in place to support timely commencement and delivery of projects.
· o Regularly communicate project status with users, stakeholders and applicable project managers.
· o Support application project “go-live” stage to ensure uptime availability and issue resolution.
· · Promote a culture of continuous improvement and open communication. Lead implementation of daily/weekly +QDCP cascade model for functional delivery management and reporting. Optimise all resources available, through continuous improvement of process, methods, workplace layout / 6S.
· · Ensure full SOX compliance on all IT related procurement and payment systems and transactions.
· · Maintain and develop training plans for all personnel in IT function to deliver maximum cross training flexibility.
· · Seek, promote and facilitate development opportunities for the team to enhance their technical skills, project skills and leadership skills enabling them to progress within the organisation.
· · Lead IT people engagement process to ensure continuous communication flow to and from all personnel, through communications meetings, proactive gemba visits and scheduled team meetings and 1:1 meetings.
· · Perform active role in Site Leadership process with Management and Governance Process ownership and coaching as appropriate.
· · Actively participate in site business strategy, policy and communications development and represent leadership with communications and engagement cascade.
