IT Support Specialist
Job specification:
· Reporting to the IT Manager, the candidate will be primarily focused on user support while providing assistance with managing all local IT administration requirements – server, network, hardware, software, telecoms, applications – in line with company standards.
· Ensure all clients are operational with minimal downtime while offering guidance and support to resolve issues
· Support desktop environment including hardware (PCs, printers, mobile devices, telecoms), applications and operating systems (Windows 10)
· Support local telecommunication and conferencing systems (telephones, video-conferencing, MS Teams)
· Ensure adherence to Group Security directives and protocol
· Update local IT online procedures manual in conjunction with IT developments
· Provide staff training on various business technology systems (Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Win10, etc.)
· Assist with administration of physical and logical security of office including CCTV and access control systems
· Assist with administration of data backup management system
· Assist with Business Continuity Management and disaster recovery testing
· General support of local and wide area network environment
· Assist with various IT projects
Attributes required:
· Degree or equivalent in information technology or related field
· Minimum 6 years’ hands-on experience in an IT Support and/or IT Administration role (corporate environment an advantage)
· Strong proficiency with Windows 10 and MS Office required
· High degree of professionalism and dedication
· Ability to work from own initiative
· Excellent communication skills
