Maintenance Scheduler Limerick
On behalf of its Client, Kenny-Whelan are hiring a Maintenance Scheduler for a Global Life Science Company in Limerick.
Profile of the Role:
The Maintenance Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of maintenance operations.
By developing and managing detailed maintenance schedules, this role supports the seamless execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities across all disciplines - Electrical, Instrumentation (E&I), and Mechanical. The scheduler acts as a key liaison between maintenance teams, planners, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with regulatory standards. This role ensures that all maintenance work is planned, scheduled, and documented in compliance with regulatory standards and internal procedures, using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Description of Duties:
- Schedule and coordinate all preventive and corrective maintenance activities to meet operational and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with planners, technicians, vendors, and engineering stores to ensure spare parts and resources are available.
- Maintain and update job plans to reflect current procedures and best practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and proactively contribute to safety and quality enhancements.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded in the CMMS and are audit-ready, following ALCOA+ principles.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure timely and high-quality execution of maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot scheduling conflicts and assist in resolving maintenance issues where responsibilities are unclear.
- Flexibility to support other areas within the Maintenance team & participate in Project and best practice initiatives within the Maintenance team.
- Schedule, chair & attend meetings to ensure maintenance activities are appropriately scheduled.
Education:
§ FETAC Level 6 or equivalent in either an E&I or Mechanical discipline.
Experience:
Ø 3+ years Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Med Device industry experience essential in a maintenance role.
Ø Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling tools (e.g., CMMS)
Ø Demonstrated ability to influence and to lead change.
Ø Demonstrated aptitude and interest for problem-solving.
Ø Demonstrated ability to prioritize and sequence tasks efficiently.
IT Systems:
- Ms Office Suite advanced
- CMMS experience essential
From time to time, there may be a need to travel offsite to other locations conferences, or off-site training in Ireland
