Job Description:
The Contractor Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, overhaul, adjustment, and modification of all plant and production equipment. This role also involves equipment troubleshooting and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair major process equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and compressed air systems. Experience with electrical and electronic systems is a strong advantage.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Maximize production efficiency by promptly restoring equipment to full operational capacity.
• Log all equipment breakdowns in the maintenance management system.
• Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks and recommend enhancements to PM programs.
• Ensure essential spare parts are stocked for all critical equipment and processes.
• Communicate important updates to management and relevant departments, including notifications of existing or potential issues, repair timelines, and equipment status.
• Coordinate with vendors, site contractors, and external specialists performing work on site.
• Actively participate in the site safety team, promoting and adhering to all safety standards and practices.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to support smooth daily operations and production continuity.
Experience & Qualifications:
• Proven hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, including troubleshooting of pumps, motors, and grinding/milling machines.
• A proactive team player with strong initiative and ability to work collaboratively within the maintenance team.
• Solid background in mechanical and electrical systems; experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, or medical device environments is desirable but not required.
