Manufacturing Engineer (Mid to Senior Level)
We are seeking a results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to support and lead initiatives in a regulated, high-performance manufacturing environment. The role level (Engineer or Senior Engineer) will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and capability.
Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of engineering and continuous improvement activities. Depending on experience, your responsibilities may include:
- Designing and optimizing manufacturing processes, layouts, and workflows for efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Leading or supporting process validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) and driving process performance improvements.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to deliver automation, material, or equipment change projects on time and within scope.
- Investigating equipment, tooling, or process performance issues and initiating corrective actions to ensure product quality.
- Developing and implementing SPC and other statistical methods to control and improve manufacturing output.
- Supporting or leading efforts in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Design for Manufacturability/Automation (DFA/DFA).
- Preparing and maintaining technical documentation (MP, BOM, CDP, protocols, reports).
- Ensuring all processes and documentation comply with regulatory and quality standards.
- Mentoring junior team members and/or leading projects (for senior-level candidates).
Requirements
We welcome applications from candidates with varying levels of experience. Final level/title will be based on qualifications and capability.
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Level 8 or higher) in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Polymer, Biomedical, or related Engineering/Science discipline.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (5+ years for senior-level consideration).
- Strong understanding of regulated industries such as MedTech, Pharma, or plastics processing.
- Experience with one or more manufacturing processes such as extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, or bonding.
- Working knowledge of process validation, statistical tools (SPC, DOE, Minitab), and Lean/Six Sigma principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project planning skills.
Preferred for Senior-Level Consideration:
- 5+ years of industry experience in process engineering or manufacturing support.
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional projects or mentoring of junior engineers.
- Formal Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, IPMA).
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent design software.
