Mapping & Charting Officer
CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for a Mapping & Charting Officer (E01 Grade) to join their team on a temporary contract, with possibility of extension.
· Pay Rate - £17.43 per/hr
· Location – DoF, LPS, OSNI- Geospatial Systems and Data Management
· Benefits – 37 days holiday
· Hours – 37 hours per week
Responsibilities will include:
· System Assurance Support (Spatial NI) -Contribute to the System Assurance process by maintaining key inventories and registers:
o Information Asset Inventory
o IT Asset Inventory
o Register of Authorised Users
· Data Management - Assist with the decommissioning of geographic data, ensuring proper documentation and coordination.
· Governance Support - Provide secretarial support for the Change Advisory Board (CAB), including agenda preparation, minute taking, and action tracking.
· Quality Assurance - QA and provide constructive feedback on GIS-related tasks and outputs to support continuous improvement.
· Procedure Documentation - Assist in the development and maintenance of procedural documentation for GIS administrative tasks.
Essential Experience/Qualifications
· Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical colleagues, demonstrating attention to detail and organisational skills.
· Ability to manage and maintain data inventories and registers, including information assets, IT assets, and user access records.
· Strong written communication skills, with the ability to document procedures and workflows clearly and accurately.
Desired Experience/ Qualifications
Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:
· Esri ArcGIS Enterprise including Portal, ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Pro
· Esri ArcGIS Online (AGOL)
Relevant or Equivalent Qualifications
