Overview
We are urgently seeking a highly experienced Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Solution Architect to support a major public sector programme in Ireland.
This role requires deep functional and techno-functional expertise across Oracle Financials and Supply Chain modules within a highly customised EBS R12 environment.
Due to data and security requirements, candidates must be based in the EU, with a strong preference for Ireland-based consultants who can attend the client site when required.
You will take ownership of the end-to-end solution, ensuring architectural integrity, alignment with business processes, and successful delivery. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, functional leads, technical teams, and senior client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
- Own the overall solution architecture for Oracle EBS R12 across Finance and SCM
- Define and maintain the solution roadmap, including modules, integrations, reporting, upgrades, and online patching
- Translate business requirements into scalable, compliant EBS solutions
- Lead fit-gap analysis, process standardisation, and global design across multi-org and multi-ledger environments
- Ensure end-to-end solution integrity and present designs to senior business stakeholders
Functional Leadership – Finance & SCM
- Provide functional leadership across the following areas:
- Supply Chain: Procure-to-Pay, Purchasing, iProcurement, Supplier Management, Inventory, Order Management, Receivables, Cash Management
- Finance: Strong focus on Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, payments, customer and supplier management, and ageing analysis
- Ensure AR processes are fully aligned with the Order-to-Cash lifecycle
- Own end-to-end process design, configuration strategy, and internal control frameworks (including audit and segregation of duties)
- Define and manage data structures such as key and descriptive flexfields
- Manage cross-module dependencies and data flows
Technical & Integration Oversight
- Work closely with technical teams to define and validate technical solutions
- Ensure appropriate tools and technologies are used for integrations, enhancements, customisations, and reporting
- Review and approve technical designs to ensure alignment with functional and architectural standards
Delivery, Governance & Quality
- Act as design authority, leading design reviews and change control processes
- Define and enforce configuration, release, and deployment standards
- Coordinate with testing teams on SIT and UAT strategy, regression testing, and performance testing
- Lead cutover planning and execution to ensure a smooth transition to production with minimal business impact
Required Experience & Skills
- Extensive experience as an Oracle EBS R12 Solution Architect or Functional Architect
- Strong functional expertise in Oracle Financials, particularly AP and AR
- Solid experience across Oracle SCM modules
- Proven ability to operate in complex, highly customised EBS environments
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
- Experience working on large enterprise or public sector programmes
- Ability to work onsite in Ireland as required
