Payroll Supervisor
Contract: Temporary
Location: Nenagh, Co. Tipperary (Fully Onsite)
The Role
A multinational organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join its HR team on a temporary basis in Nenagh. This fully onsite role is responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll and benefits services across Ireland and selected EMEA locations, while acting as a key point of contact for audits, employees, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for Ireland and selected EMEA payrolls
- Ensure full compliance with payroll, tax, and employment legislation
- Act as primary contact for internal and external audits
- Manage statutory deductions (PAYE, PRSI, USC and overseas equivalents)
- Provide first-line support to employees and line managers on payroll and benefits
- Administer benefits enrolment and monthly benefit schemes
- Perform payroll reconciliations, validations, and variance analysis
- Prepare month-end and year-end payroll reporting and metrics
- Supervise and support a payroll team member
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers
- Drive process improvements and payroll system enhancements
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ payroll experience, including international exposure
- IPASS qualification desirable
- Strong working knowledge of Workday and Celergo ADP
- Experience managing large, multi-entity payrolls (500+ employees)
- Advanced Excel skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
