Project Engineer for Chemical Manufacturing facility in Dub 24
Cpl are again working our client partner to support them with sourcing and hiring an accomplished Project Engineer for their Bulk Chemical Manufacturing and Bottling and Packaging site in Dublin 24.
The role is a full-time day shift position, and the vacancy is open due a recent internal promotion.
If you are a Degree Qualified and experienced Project Engineer who has at least 4 years’ experience in high-speed manufacturing (ideally food and beverage production, food and or beverage bottling, med dev or other high-volume industry where bottling and packaging lines are in operation) then this might well be an interesting career opportunity for you to consider.

The role itself is part of a team of 5 Senior Engineers, each with their own Project portfolio on the site and reporting into the site Director of Engineering.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the overall objective of this role is to partake, validate and support a portfolio of project activities on site including new process installations, process modifications and process improvements relating to packaging operations unit.
This will require involvement in preliminary & detailed design, detailed project plans, regulatory compliance, validation and installation of equipment, progress updates & KPI’s, and the overall support of projects safely, in compliance, on time, in full & within budget with local and external teams.
Some of your key duties in the Project Engineer role will be to -
• You will help to deliver new automated production equipment and to make improvements to existing production lines that operate in a batch processing chemical FMCG and industrial products environment. from the chemical formulation process to filling containers, labelling, cartoning and palletisation.
• To project manage the project, to agree the scope and deliverables for the project with the project sponsor, stakeholders, and team.
• To prepare and manage project expenditure within the budget you have obtained approval for.
• Manage project stakeholders. Provide effective communication. Lead a cross functional team to ensure safe, providing the correct quality and right first-time delivery of the project.
• Organize design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and start-up into production processes.
• Work in accordance with the internal project management standards, processes, methodologies, and systems.
• Will be the subject matter expert for the project and associated processes.
• Supporting capital projects team for on-site based projects for Chemical and Adhesive Manufacturing, Facilities and Packaging operations.
• Supporting & executing Validation support activities on site across
• Partaking or leading potential Continuous improvement programs, Process mapping and gap analysis.
• Optimization of existing processes to achieve desired targets.
• Project scoping and gap analysis.
• Delivering projects and assigned duties on time and on budget.
• Coordinating changes using the approved change control procedure to ensure that cGMP is adhered to.
• Support validation activities for project activities including review of validation documentation and attendance at validation activities.
• Design and write summaries for regulatory compliance or project specific.
• Update project details on a regular basis
Candidate key requirements
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a high volume and ideally regulated manufacturing industry as a Project Engineer
• Ability and proven track record in working and managing multiple departmental teams for operational and capital projects.
• Background in high volume and regulated Manufacturing & Packaging would be advantageous.
• Must possess excellent technical writing ability.
• Strong documentation skills
• Have the capacity to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must work to the highest engineering standards.
• Have strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in cGMP, general packaging systems and serialization is advantageous.
• Will require some travel within Europe, depending on project but will be minimal.
