Senior Accountant / Auditor – Northern Ireland
Overview:
Cpl NI is partnering with a leader in the professional services sector to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant/Auditor. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote working and on-site reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct reviews to assess firms’ compliance with regulatory frameworks and professional standards
· Evaluate firms’ processes and methodologies across a range of practising activities
· Critically assess audit and accounting work, focusing on key technical issues
· Provide actionable recommendations to enhance procedures, compliance, and overall quality
· Engage in a broad range of challenging assignments offering unique insights into company performance and regulatory responses
Essential Criteria:
· Fully qualified member of a Recognised Accountancy Body, with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in a practice or regulatory environment
· Strong technical knowledge of professional, technical, and ethical standards
· Proven organisational and communication skills, including the ability to influence and engage clients.
· Analytical mindset with a process-driven approach
· Proficient in IT systems relevant to accounting and auditing
· Full clean driver’s licence
