Senior Android Developer – Payments
Are you an experienced Android Developer ready to build next‑generation mobile payment apps? Our client is expanding their high‑performing team and is looking for a Senior Android Developer to help shape innovative fintech solutions used across global markets.
Please note this is an onsite role in Nenagh Co. Tipperary.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and developing Kotlin‑based Android apps for seamless, secure payment experiences
- Working within a collaborative, agile team of developers, architects, product owners & DevOps
- Writing high‑quality, testable code (unit, regression & integration tests)
- Troubleshooting complex issues across devices and environments
- Implementing monitoring & logging for enterprise‑grade performance
- Sharing knowledge, mentoring teammates, and influencing technical decisions
- Translating business needs into robust technical solutions
What You’ll Bring
- 7+ years Android development experience
- Strong skills in Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines & clean architecture
- Experience in the payments industry (Nexo/EMVCo/PCI) is a major advantage
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab/GitHub, Maven, Jira & Confluence
- Strong eye for UI/UX, including Figma-to-Android conversions
- Excellent communication, problem-solving ability & a proactive mindset
Nice to Have
- Deep Android platform knowledge (ROM experience is a plus)
- Understanding of REST APIs, SOA, server-side concepts
- Familiarity with RxJava, NDK, React Native, JavaScript or MVVM/MVC
- Experience with distributed computing environments
