Cpl is delighted to partner with Enterprise Ireland to recruit a Senior Legal Adviser within its Investment Solutions Division. This is a key senior role, sitting at the heart of Enterprise Ireland’s investment activity, advising on legal matters that underpin Ireland’s growth story.
The Role
As Senior Legal Adviser, you will:
- Lead on the preparation, review, and negotiation of legal agreements for investments in Irish companies (equity, loan notes, repayable advances, and convertible debt).
- Advise on post-investment restructuring, debt refinancing, and trade sales.
- Negotiate directly with external stakeholders including banks, venture capital funds, and debt providers.
- Manage relationships with external legal advisers to ensure timely deal completion.
- Contribute to investment policy development and oversee compliance with legal agreements.
- Coach and mentor colleagues, while managing a small team within the Direct Investment Portfolio Department.
About You
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with strong post-qualification experience.
- Proven track record in drafting and negotiating legal agreements, particularly in corporate finance, banking, or debt restructuring.
- Experience engaging with funding institutions and external legal providers.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
