Our client is a new technical services team in Ireland, focused on delivering MES and automation expertise to leading life sciences manufacturers. Their mission is to help clients achieve excellence in quality, compliance, and efficiency through cutting-edge solutions and on-site support.
The Role
They are seeking a Senior MES Engineer (Emerson Syncade) to deliver, support, and enhance MES solutions for global pharmaceutical and biotech clients. This role involves working across the full project lifecycle and helping to shape the growth of the Irish operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Syncade projects: installation, configuration, testing, validation, and go-live
- Develop and maintain recipes (authoring, testing, troubleshooting, integration)
- Provide end-user support and training on MES usage
- Troubleshoot system issues and drive performance improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on MES–DeltaV and MES–ERP integrations
- Support compliance with GAMP5, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity standards
- Mentor junior engineers as the team expands
What We’re Looking For
- 5–8+ years’ MES experience (hands-on Syncade expertise essential)
- Strong background in recipe authoring, testing, and debugging
- Experience with core Syncade modules: EBR, Materials, Weigh & Dispense, Equipment Tracking
- Knowledge of SQL, VBScript, XML/XSL and system integrations
- Familiarity with MES–DeltaV interfaces and automation environments
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
