Cpl are supporting a global FS client in their search for a Senior Java / Data Engineer to help build and scale a strategic FS analytics platform within a global capital markets environment.
The role requires technical expertise across Java, with experiences across Springboot, Microservices and API's. You will be working within a Data Engineering team and will work on DE activities including for Data Pipelines with experience in either Spark or Databricks.
Role
- Build and scale Java-based services and APIs powering liquidity and funding analytics
- Design and develop data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark
- Deliver front-to-back metrics across a wide range of capital markets products
- Work closely with global business and technology stakeholders
- Ensure platforms are secure, observable, resilient and built for scale
- Contribute to the technical direction of a mission-critical, enterprise platform
Experience
- 8–10 years of hands-on Java experience, including Spring Boot and microservices
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- 6+ years building data pipelines with Apache Spark or Databricks
- Experience with Azure data services and cloud-native architectures preferred
- Exposure to streaming technologies such as Kafka very nice to have
- Experience in FS is advantageous
