CPL are working with a well established energy organisation, based in Dublin City Centre to recruit for a Social Media & Digital Marketing Executive to join their team on a 12‑month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering impactful digital content that supports national‑level initiatives and public engagement.
About the Role
You will take ownership of the organisation’s social media strategy across multiple platforms, ensuring all content is engaging, on‑brand, and aligned with wider marketing and organisational objectives. This role involves both strategic planning and hands‑on content creation, along with managing a Social Media Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement the organisation’s social media strategy across LinkedIn, TikTok, Meta and Bluesky.
- Develop and manage a content calendar that aligns with business and communications priorities.
- Ensure consistent posting, tone, and brand messaging across all channels.
- Create platform‑native content (posts, stories, videos) adapted from broader marketing initiatives.
- Engage with online audiences by responding to comments, messages, and queries.
- Monitor sentiment and highlight emerging risks or opportunities to the Digital Manager.
- Manage the day‑to‑day workload and development of the Social Media Coordinator.
- Work closely with the Content Team to repurpose long‑form assets (webinars, reports, interviews) into high‑performing social content.
- Manage monthly ezine creation and distribution via Mailchimp.
- Collaborate with external agency partners to plan and optimise paid social campaigns.
- Support influencer and UGC creator partnerships.
- Track engagement, reach, and sentiment to improve content performance.
- Produce regular insights and reports for the Digital Manager and wider teams.
- Experiment with new content formats, creative approaches, and emerging digital tools.
- Flexibility to work additional hours during peak activity periods.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of the social media landscape across multiple platforms.
- Excellent copywriting skills.
- Ability to create/edit short‑form video and visual content (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express or similar).
- Confident, professional communicator with strong audience engagement skills.
- Data‑driven mindset with ability to translate metrics into actionable insights.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Collaborative, team‑oriented working style.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Degree (Level 7 NFQ or higher) in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related field.
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience delivering social media strategies across multiple channels (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Experience managing direct reports.
- Experience using social scheduling platforms such as Sprout Social.
- Strong understanding of social analytics, engagement metrics, and performance reporting.
Desirable
- Experience in the energy sector.
- Knowledge of customer experience principles.
- Experience working with paid media teams or agencies.
- Proficiency in the Irish language.
