The Light Gauge Steel Products and Systems are used as part of the structural element in the construction of walls, floors, ceilings and roofs, creating a full accredited structural system.
Responsibilities:
Pre Sales Technical role with sales function where required in order to discuss all technical/design aspects of contracts in order that the inclusions and exclusions on the Bills of Quantities and Take-Offs are clarified technically.
Assess all construction drawings received and issue preliminary RFI to client’s engineer on design/detailing clarifications required. The assigned Designer to follow up thereafter.
Provide structural design for build & design projects.
Provide calculation sheets on load bearings .
Check and Review designs provided by third party design offices,
Re Engineer designs provide by third party design offices
Introduce typical connections details for the drawing office.
Provide connections details design light gauge to structural steel and to concrete.
Responsible for technical issues raised by the design and framing
Getting suitable structural solutions for problems raised by site managers.
Attending the site meetings where there is a discussion on a technical issue.
Helping the drawing office detailers in the technical issues with Vertex and Tedds
Technical and Quality advisor to all Functions i.e. Sales, Drawing Office, Production, Contract Management, Estimating, Quantity Surveying
Value Engineering
Programming & Planning all Projects with Internal and External Design and Framing personnel
Qualifications : Qualified structural engineer with commercial ability- 7-10 years structural experience
