Role Summary
The Tax Director is a senior leader within the Tax practice, responsible for delivering high-quality tax advisory and compliance services to Irish and international clients. The role involves leading complex tax engagements, managing key client relationships, driving business development, and developing high-performing teams, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver complex tax advisory, compliance, and transactional engagements.
- Act as the primary senior contact for a portfolio of clients.
- Provide technically robust, commercially focused tax advice across Irish and cross-border matters.
- Oversee quality, risk, and regulatory compliance across engagements.
- Identify and drive new business opportunities, supporting proposals and pitches.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Managers and wider tax teams.
Skills & Experience
- 8–12+ years’ tax experience, ideally within a Big 4 or leading professional services firm.
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent).
- Strong technical tax expertise with proven leadership capability.
- Excellent client relationship, communication, and commercial skills.
- Experience managing teams and contributing to practice growth.
