Cpl's Q2 Employment Monitor foundthat jobhunters keep changing jobs to upskill and get new experience. Of those interviewed for Cpl's Employment Market Monitor (Q2, 2016), nearly half expect to spend no more than 2 years in their next role, with one third anticipating a move within the first year.

The report had other interesting findings on the Irish Employment Market, including:

  • 72% of Jobseekers believe looks play a major part in getting a new role
  • Over 70% have applied for jobs they are not qualified to do
  • Jobseekers believe the market is shifting in favour of employers
  • More than a third said they would change job because of a bad boss

The information presented in the Cpl Employment Market Monitor is based on two main sources:

  • Cpl's Job Index - the number of new roles by category registered with Cpl month-on-month
  • Cpl's Sentiment Survey - feedback from jobseekers registered with Cpl and employers nationwide
