An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join a well-established, community-focused organisation based in Mahon, Cork. This purpose-driven role offers the chance to be part of a supportive team delivering essential services to individuals and families across the local area.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) and is ideal for a motivated administrator who is organised, detail-focused, and enjoys working in an environment where their contribution makes a real impact.
The Role
This is a key support role within the organisation, requiring strong administrative, communication, and organisational skills. You will be responsible for ensuring administrative processes run smoothly, supporting frontline teams, and maintaining accurate records to enable the delivery of high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting day-to-day administration across services in Cork
Managing documentation, records, and data with accuracy and confidentiality
Providing administrative support to centre-based and community teams
Assisting with coordination of services and scheduling
Handling correspondence and telephone enquiries professionally
Maintaining office systems, databases, and filing systems
Supporting financial administration where required
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Professional approach to confidentiality and sensitive information
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
A qualification in office administration or secretarial studies (desirable)
Experience handling financial information and ECDL certification (advantageous)
