Our Client, a well-known Healthcare Group in Cork City, has a requirement for a Data Support Officer (Grade IV) to provide data entry/administration support in one of their departments.
- Duration: Initially 3-month contract with the possibility for extension for the right candidate
- Hourly Rate: €15.20
- Hours: Mon-Fri (9am to 5pm with some flexibility around start and finish times)
- This is a site-based position (no remote working)
The main function of this role is to support the existing team:
- Transfer existing data from physical files into an internal data entry portal
- Liaise with Registration officers
- Escalate any issues in relation to data quality etc. to the Programme Manager or Registration Officers for resolution
- Prepare and maintain data sheet tracking files in Excel
- Support the Programme manager as required
- Ensure deadlines are met as specified
- Ensure policies and procedures are well documented
- Ensure accurate attention to detail in own work
- Review and maintain the accuracy of the records, editing where necessary to ensure they are up to date
Desired experience:
- Experience in relation to dealing with Patient Medical Records a BIG plus
- High level of organisation and communication skills
- Ability to analyse and interpret hospital and medical data for inputting
- High attention to detail and strong awareness around data protection/GDPR
- Experience in the use of computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook
