About the Role:
Our client, is seeking an experienced School Secretary / Clerical Officer to join their team on a temporary basis in Laois. Candidates should be available for an immediate start. Reporting directly to the Principal, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the school’s administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Principal and school staff.
- Manage correspondence including drafting and preparing letters and documents.
- Process orders, invoices, and creditor payments.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and school records.
- Handle telephone and reception duties, welcoming visitors and responding to queries.
- Arrange and coordinate meetings, appointments, and school events.
- Assist in preparing reports and statutory returns as required.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with school and data protection policies.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a school or office administration environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Friendly, professional, and committed to providing excellent service.
Additional Information:
