Cpl sponsored the Irish Funds Annual Global Conference, Thursday, 25th May in The Intercontinental Hotel, Dublin 4. The conference, which is in its 19thyear, is the central event in the funds industry's calendar.

The morning kicked off with an opening address from An Taoiseach Enda Kenny who remarked on the potential of the funds sector in Ireland and how significant a role it plays in our economy's expansion.

An Taoiseach stated, 'With the challenges and uncertainties surrounding Brexit, Ireland's experience providing solutions to asset managers for over 25 years on a global stage is key to our continued growth.' This growth will hopefully come in part from China, which was a key focus of the conference with the Irish Funds launch of 'Ireland: A Guidebook for Chinese Asset Managers' in partnership with the Asset Management Association of China'.

The guidebook hopes to inspire partnerships between Irish and Chinese industries and provide instruction for Chinese investors looking to enter the European space through Ireland. This was evident with the attendance of the Asset Management Association of China. An Taoiseach welcomed this new endeavour, remarking 'The continuing development of closer ties with partners around the world is evidence by the launch of the new guidebook and the Chinese industry delegation present today.'

The Irish Funds is the representative organisation of the international funds industry in Ireland. They aim to assist in the development of the Irish fund community and help make Ireland an attractive destination for international investment. They hold a selection of conferences and events each year, designed to generate exposure for the industry, at home and abroad.

Ireland has become a hub of money management activity, a trend which is only set to grow.
