On Friday 6th of July, Cpl along with other Irish businesses will go head-to-head in a unique citywide treasure hunt in aid of Temple Street Children's University Hospital.

Techies4TempleStreet, alongside its leadership partner, AIB, challenges Ireland's business and tech communities to take part in a fun and challenging team-building and networking event.

In response to its continued growth, this year's city-wide treasure hunt will commence in the Aviva Stadium, and will see participants trek across Dublin city centre seeking buried treasure, completing a variety of different challenges and puzzles along the way.

Since the first treasure hunt in 2015, Techies4TempleStreet has raised over 600,000 for Temple Street, including 225,000 in 2017. These funds have been put to work in the hospital to help sick children and their families, providing life-saving equipment, as well as helping to fund the construction of the new Renal & Neurology Outpatients Unit. On this year's treasure hunt teams will use digital platforms and they are challenged with questions and clues where strategy and team work will decide the winners.

Commenting, Denise Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of the Temple Street Foundation said, 'Now in its fourth year, Techies4TempleStreet has already made a huge difference to Temple Street Children's University Hospital and its patients.

'Over 130 teams participated in 2017, from the worlds of tech, finance, law, media and recruitment, raising 225,000. This year will see us move to the Aviva Stadium for the first time, and we're hoping to host over 150 teams from an even more diverse range of companies, big and small.

'The event was originally envisaged as a very unique and different networking event but increasingly, many participants tell us that it has real value as a team-building and client relations day out.

'Despite the name, you don't actually need to be a techie to participate. All that's required is a can-do attitude, a sense of humour and an appetite for teamwork.

Speaking at the launch, Sharon McCooey, Head of LinkedIn Ireland, said:

'Techies4TempleStreet is a great day out for everyone involved and helps raise vital funds for such a worthy cause. LinkedIn has participated in the event since it first started in 2015 and I would recommend it to any business looking for a fun event to bring their team together. It gets bigger and better every year, so I hope that we can help the Temple Street Foundation reach a new record this year to help provide the best facilities and services for the children and families that visit the hospital every year.'

AIB Chief Operations Officer Tomás O'Midheach said 'AIB is delighted to be lead sponsor of this year's Techies 4 Temple Street. It's a brilliantly organised event for a very worthy cause. Techies is a super team building event and gives an opportunity for the tech community to connect with each other while raising much needed funds for Temple Street.'

The winning team will be revealed at a post-event party, where they'll be crowned 'Ireland's Smartest Techies'. Technology consultancy BearingPoint is the reigning champion, having won the 2017 Techies4TempleStreet treasure trail.

The event will take place on Friday, 6 July at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. For full details, and to register your team, visit: http://www.techies4templestreet.ie
