FameLab International, the science communication competition owned by Cheltenham Science Festival, delivered globally by the British Council and supported by Cpl, is back in a new interactive online format this November.
FameLab national finalists from 20 countries will take to the virtual stage to deliver their three-minute presentations on a range of topics from the world of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, to battle it out for the title of global winner 2020.
Quentin Cooper will host the event and will be joined virtually by a panel of judges as well as audiences from around the world who will all have the opportunity to vote for their favourite talks.
The 2020 FameLab Ireland competition was won by Simon Spichak, a neuroscientist and an Irish Research Council postgraduate scholar at University College Cork. He will now represent Ireland in the FameLab international finals and attempt to emulate Ireland's past success in the competition, following in the footsteps of Fergus McAuliffe and Padraig Flood, both previous winners of the acclaimed FameLab International title.
FameLab Ireland is funded by Science Foundation Ireland and is supported by Cpl Resources Plc and Henkel Ireland Limited. For more info please visit here.
