Ian joined Cpl in July 2017 and has 20 years of experience in executive search and selection. Based in London, he is a specialist in international executive search for public sector organisations in the UK and in Ireland.
Ian’s initial career background was in local government personnel management before becoming Head of Personnel Services at Liverpool John Moores University in January 1991. Ian left LJMU and joined Riley Consulting in April 2000 as a specialist in higher education and local government recruitment. He then moved with his colleagues to Tribal Executive Resourcing when Euro RSCG Riley sold the recruitment consulting division to Tribal in 2003 before becoming the Regional Director for the Executive Recruitment Division for Wales and the West with Tribal and Sector Lead for Higher Education.
After a brief spell as a Partner with Gatenby Sanderson, Ian set up his own boutique recruitment and assessment business with a strong focus on public sector clients in the UK and Ireland in April 2007 and he then joined Cpl in July 2017.
Ian is a Chartered Member of CIPD and is fully qualified (SHL) in the design and delivery of assessment centres and as a Level A and Level B user of psychometric tests.
