My client are currently looking for a CFO to join their rapidly expanding organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, compliance and analysis of the Group. Partner successfully with the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team for budgeting, forecasting and reporting to investors. Assure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations. Identify and address financial blockers and opportunities for the company. Build financial alliances with investors and partnerships with other funding organizations. Experienced with corporate governance processes. Proven negotiation and commercial skills.
- Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks, holding budget owners to account.
- Manage the financial performance in all business areas, company owned restaurants, central production, franchising and support office.
- Understand and advise on margin management and pricing
- Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems
- Oversee and lead the Finance & IT function
- Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance team
- Management accountants, internal auditors, payroll, IT technicians
- Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners, investors and bankers
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to management committee
- Ensure adherence to financial, data protection and compliance laws and guidelines
- Oversee and keep updated the company’s register of contracts and legal documents
- Building leases, employment contracts, supply contracts
- Coordinate all company secretary and legal filings
- Provide leadership to the board on Finance and Accounting strategy, to optimise the company’s financial performance and strategic position
- Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth
- Oversee treasury management
- Ensure the Company is investor credible
- Manage the process of raising investments
- Create, maintain and update projections continuously
- Ensure our financial strategy is reflective of where we want to be, and ensure all relevant departments have targets in order to meet achieve this
- Manage revenue and HMRC (ROI & UK)
- Liaise with and Head of Marketing on the Group annual marketing budget. This will involve growing the brand in the UK
- Revise the forecasting and recalibrate with the Head of Marketing on quarterly spend projections versus revenue targets and actuals.
- Stay informed on the franchising sales trajectory, expansion of locations, growth and revenue wins.
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team and other function leads when hiring
- Work with the executive board to determine and plan for short and long term goals.
- Clear, vision and understanding of human resources and people leadership.
- Currently, the IT team sits within the Finance function.
- Collaborate closely with IT and technology teams on the development of the Group digital properties, web and app and internal IT systems.
- Leadership across new ways of working and optimising digital productivity to drive efficiencies internally.
