Job Description:
Global Functions Technology (GFT) delivers innovative technology solutions and key global platforms for Client’s Global Functions division. These solutions enable company to comply with regulatory mandates and empower our businesses to achieve their goals, both current and long-term. Our products and initiatives adhere to strategic architecture and support the end-to-end integration of multiple global functions within the bank including Finance, Risk and Controls.
Job Purpose:
As the Project Manager, you will work within a broader program management team driving transformation projects supporting our Finance Stakeholders. Initial focus will be on delivering a set of projects that will drive improvement in our EMEA Finance Regulatory Reporting.
Responsibilities:
- In this role you will act as a Technology Partner to Finance stakeholders to evolve and refine the technology agenda to support their business priorities.
- You will build strong working relationships with business and operational partners as well as multiple technology organisations within both a regional and global setting.
- You will leverage relevant industry knowledge and experience to partner with platform engineering teams to define sound technology capabilities that meet business objectives and are in-keeping with Transformation programs.
- You will define the associated functional architecture solutions in partnership with engineering leads, providing thought leadership to ensure Company develops a best-in-class technology estate across a complex landscape.
- You will define, execute, and deliver integrated e-2-e delivery plans across all the technology teams in both Global Finance Technology and the Business Aligned technology teams for the process you are driving. You will pro-actively identify issues and work to remove them
- You will directly impact the project leadership area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and contribution to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures, influencing resource planning.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Required Knowledge / Experience:
- 6-10 years’ experience in a technology project leadership role partnering with senior stakeholders, across multiple geographies and functions.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong collaborative relationships that culminate in a delivery track record.
- You should have a passion for technology and be conversant with Industry direction, leading products and trends and a track record of having successfully delivered competitive advantage through technology services.
- Experience and/or understanding of Capital Markets, Financial Control or Financial Planning and Forecasting would be highly desirable as this is a key area of focus for our technology transformation.
- You will promote strong adherence to control and risk implementations as well as standards and process changes.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
