Project Management Specialist – Senior Consultant
We are recruiting for a PMO specialist on behalf of a Global Consultancy Business, to join their expert Human Capital team within their PMO centre of Excellence. Helping to deliver growth, performance and transformation projects for companies across a variety of industries, you will be given the opportunity to broaden your skill set, gaining access to the highest levels of client liaison and working on complex, high-profile projects and delivering innovative transformation programmes for their clients.
Responsibilities will include
· Assisting with the design, implementation and development of project, programme or portfolio management offices
· Developing and managing plans and associated critical paths through understanding of the inter-dependencies between workstreams
· Reviewing and developing project progress reports and providing oversight of risk / issue / action / dependency management processes and financial control processes in relation to the programme, project or initiative
· Reviewing and developing project / programme financial reports and undertaking financial modelling to prepare budgets and business cases
· Managing upkeep of project assets ensuring documentation is kept up to date and facilitating effective sharing / communication
· Mentoring & management of Junior Consultants.
Your Experience
· Previous experience of managing delivery of projects, either within industry or with a consultancy
· Knowledge of the current market conditions
· Experience of assisting with the design and development of a PMO
· Development and management of project plans and critical paths across work streams
· Understanding and experience of project management methodologies (example PRINCE 2 or Agile)
· Experience of mentoring and managing others in a project team
· Experience of managing progress reporting and risk management
· Preparation of programme financial reports as part of a PMO
· Experience with financial modelling, e.g. preparation of budgets and business cases
· Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
