Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time fixed term position as a Research Assistant. This position is available immediately for a period of 6 months.
Job Description:
The post-holder will require an understanding of health services research in order to support the development and delivery of the project. The role will involve data collection recruitment of primary care practices and the provision of ongoing support to data collectors, data management, basic statistical analysis and preparation of project reports. The successful candidate will work with the project team to establish timelines and priorities.
The post holder will:-
- Provide input to the project team on data management issues
- Contribute to the design of data collection tools and ensure effective management of data collected
- Contribute to the design and delivery of an educational webinar for recruited data collectors to support data uniformity and quality
- Co-ordinate and manage the day-to-day processes of the research according to the protocol and regulations
- Contribute to participant recruitment for research and provide support to practices for research activities
- Contribute to the collation and management of research data
- Maintain effective communication with project team to ensure information is transferred in a clear effective manner
- Ensure appropriate alignment with GDPR
- Carry out other appropriate and relevant duties under the direction of the Principal Investigator
Essential Criteria:
- Postgraduate degree in a Medical, Biomedical or Science area.
- Experience in health services research.
- Demonstrable organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Experience in clinical data processing
- Excellent IT skills.
- Self-motivated, high level of initiative and excellent attention to detail.
