The Role
An urgent opportunity has arisen with a leading international financial services organisation for an experienced operations professional to join a Supply Chain Settlements team in Dublin.
This is a hands-on operational role focused on the accurate and timely processing, validation and reconciliation of settlement transactions for global corporate clients.
The successful candidate will work across payments, reconciliations, transaction controls, exception management and first-line client queries.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and validate settlement transactions accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Support the payment and settlement of invoice-related transactions.
- Process direct debit files and other client settlement instructions.
- Monitor settlement activity and investigate outstanding or unmatched items.
- Perform suspense, nostro and control account reconciliations.
- Investigate reconciliation breaks and ensure issues are resolved or escalated appropriately.
- Complete end-of-day controls and monitor operational processing queues.
- Respond to first-line client queries and support the resolution of payment or settlement issues.
- Maintain accurate procedures and operational controls.
- Identify and report incidents, processing issues and operational risks.
- Work within established financial security, AML, sanctions, KYC and transaction-monitoring requirements.
Experience Required
- Experience within banking, financial services, treasury, payments, settlements, reconciliations or middle office would be highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of transaction processing and operational controls.
- Experience investigating payment, settlement or reconciliation breaks.
- Good understanding of accounting processes.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and daily cut-off times.
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with internal stakeholders and clients.
Relevant backgrounds may include Settlements, Payments Operations, Treasury Operations, Banking Operations, Middle Office, Reconciliations, Cash Operations, Trade Operations, Fund Operations or Loan Operations.
