Audit & Accounts Senior
Location: Ashbourne, Co. Meath
Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 DOE
Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Thursday | 8:30am - 2:30pm Friday (3 days in the office per week)
Contract Type: Permanent

We are a well-established Chartered Accountancy firm based in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, providing professional accounting, audit and taxation services for over 30 years. Located less than 10 minutes from the M50, we work with a diverse client portfolio across a wide range of industries, including SMEs, owner-managed businesses and sole traders.
The Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a progressive and client-focused firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise audit and accounting assignments from planning through to completion
- Manage client relationships and ensure a high standard of service delivery
- Prepare and review audit and audit-exempt financial statements
- Prepare corporation tax returns and iXBRL submissions
- Assist with budgets, cash flow forecasts and management reporting
- Liaise with clients, Revenue, banks and other third parties as required
- Support Revenue audits and client compliance activities
- Train and mentor trainee accountants
- Prepare technical guidance and support materials for staff and clients
- Ensure assignments are completed within agreed budgets and deadlines
- Contribute to achieving departmental and firm-wide targets
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified (or finalist nearing qualification)
- Minimum 3 years' experience within a busy accounting practice
- Strong knowledge of Irish Accounting and Auditing Standards
- Currently operating at Senior Accountant level within practice
- Experience managing audit assignments and client relationships
- Tax experience would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
