Role Details
- Role: Band 8a Aseptic Pharmacist
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Pay: £36ph
- Start: ASAP
- Length: 3 months
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Aseptic Pharmacist to take on a senior role within a well-established technical services team in Shrewsbury. At Band 8a level, you will provide expert pharmaceutical oversight of the aseptic unit, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient preparation of aseptic products. Duties will include supervising and supporting aseptic preparation activities within a licensed clean room environment, ensuring compliance with GMP principles and Pharmaceutical Quality Systems, overseeing quality assurance processes, contributing to audit and validation activities, and providing expert pharmaceutical advice in relation to aseptic services. You will also play a key role in the leadership and development of the aseptic team.
Requirements
- Current GPhC registration
- Minimum of 6 months NHS hospital experience within an aseptic or technical services setting
- Proven experience in a senior aseptic pharmacy role
- Specialist knowledge of GMP principles and QA in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or aseptic environment
- Experience with Pharmaceutical Quality Systems, audit, and validation
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and develop pharmacy teams
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a complex technical workload
