We are currently recruiting for a Band 7/8a Aseptic Pharmacist to work on a temporary basis in North Wales. Please see details of the role below:
Role Details
- Role: Band 7/8a Aseptic Pharmacist
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Pay: £30 to £36ph
- Start: 6 to 8 weeks
- Length: 3 months minimum, with potential to extend
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Aseptic Pharmacist to join a well-established technical services team in North Wales, with positions available at both Band 7 and Band 8a level. You will provide expert pharmaceutical oversight of the aseptic unit, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient preparation of aseptic products. Duties will include supervising and supporting aseptic preparation activities within a licensed clean room environment, ensuring compliance with GMP principles and Pharmaceutical Quality Systems, overseeing quality assurance processes, contributing to audit and validation activities, and providing expert pharmaceutical advice in relation to aseptic services. At Band 8a level, you will also take a lead role in the management and development of the aseptic team.
Requirements
- Current GPhC registration
- Minimum of 6 months NHS hospital experience within an aseptic or technical services setting
- Proven experience working within a licensed aseptic unit and clean room environment
- Specialist knowledge of GMP principles and QA in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or aseptic environment
- Experience with Pharmaceutical Quality Systems, audit, and validation
- Band 8a applicants should have demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and develop pharmacy teams
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a complex technical workload
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
