Are you an experienced Medical Scientist with strong Histopathology laboratory expertise? Galway University Hospital is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to provide essential support within a busy, high-volume Histopathology Laboratory.

⏰ 35 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general support within a busy Histopathology Laboratory.
- Perform embedding of a wide range of tissue types received in a Level 4 Supraregional Hospital Histology Laboratory.
- Carry out microtomy across a broad range of tissue specimens to a high standard.
- Maintain quality and accuracy in all laboratory procedures.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary laboratory team.
Essential Skills & Experience
✅ Proven experience in microtomy of a wide range of tissue types within a Histology/Histopathology laboratory setting.
✅ Experience embedding a broad range of tissue specimens.
✅ Experience performing microtomy on blocks trimmed using an AT192 Tissue Facing Device.
✅ Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
