Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist – PMLD (Term-Time Only) Location: Kingston Band: 6 Contract: Permanent Salary: £40,266.42- £47,540 FTE Salary £42,823.00 - £50,559.00 (Kingston) Working Pattern: Term-time only Are you a passionate Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a real difference? We're recruiting for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join a college in Kingston, supporting children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and complex communication needs. Working as part of a specialist multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver evidence-based interventions that empower children and young people to develop their communication skills, increase independence and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Manage a specialist PMLD caseload. Assess, diagnose and deliver speech and language therapy interventions. Develop personalised communication programmes and therapy goals. Work collaboratively with education staff, families and the wider multidisciplinary team. Contribute to EHCPs, annual reviews and clinical documentation. Provide advice, guidance and training to colleagues and carers. Requirements HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist. Experience supporting children and young people with PMLD and complex communication needs is desirable. Excellent assessment, communication and clinical reasoning skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Benefits Competitive Band 6 salary of £40,266.42- £47,540 Permanent, term-time only contract.
