Job Summary:
Our client, a global pharmaceutical organization, is seeking a Publications & Content Manager to join their Global Medical Affairs Scientific Communications team on an initial 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the high-quality execution and management of therapeutic area-aligned publication plans and scientific content programmes. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, scientific writers, agency partners and medical affairs teams, you will ensure the timely delivery of compliant, impactful scientific communications that support medical strategy and clinical adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute therapeutic area publication plans and scientific content programmes, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and on-time delivery.
- Act as the primary project management contact for assigned publication and content initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners to deliver publication and content development plans aligned to business objectives.
- Partner with Scientific Communications leaders, scientific writers, and agency partners to track deliverables and ensure successful execution against agreed timelines.
- Drive operational excellence through the identification and implementation of process improvements and best practices.
- Support the adoption of innovative solutions and digital technologies to improve efficiency and enhance content development activities.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure stakeholder expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare project documentation, meeting materials, status updates, and maintain accurate records within relevant publication management tools and systems.
- Identify and proactively manage risks relating to quality, compliance, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure all publication and content activities adhere to applicable compliance requirements, internal SOPs, policies, and industry guidelines.
- Support publication compliance activities, metrics reporting, and governance processes where required.
- Provide operational support for publication management tools and platforms, including user support and system updates.
- Collaborate across global teams to ensure publication planning and tracking activities are effectively managed.

Requirements:
- Degree-level qualification, preferably within a scientific discipline.
- Additional postgraduate qualifications would be advantageous.
- Minimum 2 years' experience within the pharmaceutical industry, medical communications, or a related healthcare environment.
- Experience managing scientific communications, publications, or medical affairs projects.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience working within global or international matrix environments.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Experience supporting publication plans, content development programmes, or medical communications initiatives.
- Understanding of publication compliance requirements, industry guidelines, and approval processes.
- Experience with publication management platforms and associated reporting tools would be advantageous.
- Proven track record of driving operational improvements and implementing innovative solutions.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
