Cpl have an exciting requirement for an Employee Relations Generalist, for a permanent role, to be based across 2 locations in Dublin City Centre & South Dublin. Flexible Hybrid working on offer. The successful candidate will provide skilled advice, guidance, and hands-on support in the management of continuing, complex and high-risk employee relations (ER) matters. Acting as a trusted advisor to HR colleagues, operation managers, and senior leaders, the role will ensure that all ER activity is managed fairly, consistently, and in compliance with Irish employment law. The post-holder will also contribute to organisational change initiatives, coach and upskill managers, and support preparation for legal processes including WRC, and Labour Court.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and advise on ER cases from start to finish, including performance, disciplinary, grievance, absence, and capability.
Provide hands-on support for continuing, complex and high-risk cases, ensuring compliance with Irish employment law.
Partner with Operations on organisational change projects (e.g., restructuring, redundancy, TUPE).
Coach and upskill managers through training and 1:1 support, enhancing capability and reducing risk.
Maintain and evolve policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure legal compliance and operational effectiveness.
Liaise closely with ER Managers to ensure legal risks are mitigated and external counsel is engaged appropriately.
Prepare thorough case documentation to support third party hearing and litigation processes (e.g., WRC, Labour Court, ACAS, Employment Tribunal).
Monitor ER trends and data, highlighting risks and making recommendations to improve policy, practice, and employee experience.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice.
Analyse ER metrics and trends, contributing to continuous improvement and strategic HR initiatives.
Experience Required
CIPD qualified (or working towards) or equivalent relevant ER/HR qualification.
Evidence of continuous professional development in employee relations and employment law.
Proven experience in high-volume ER case management within a fast-paced environment.
Strong working knowledge and experience of Irish employment legislation.
Skilled in handling sensitive and complex ER matters and supporting external processes.
Experience supporting change programmes and working within a shared service or centre of excellence model.
Excellent communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
Pragmatic, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused.
Passionate about continuous improvement and collaborative working.
Ability to build strong, credible relationships with managers, HR colleagues, employees, and legal advisors.
Ability to coach and train managers to handle ER matters confidently.
