Our client, a leading organisation within the Irish agricultural sector, is seeking a Farm Sustainability Advisor to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This opportunity would suit a recent Agriculture graduate or someone with 1-2 years' industry experience looking to build their career within agricultural sustainability.
The successful candidate will work closely with farmers, industry stakeholders, and internal teams to support sustainability initiatives, promote best practice farming methods, and help improve water quality outcomes across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay up to date on new technologies, projects, policy changes, and agricultural sustainability developments.
- Support the development and implementation of the organisation's sustainability goals and agenda.
- Communicate sustainability initiatives and programmes to farmers, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders through a variety of communication channels.
- Organise and participate in farm walks, webinars, educational events, and other farmer engagement activities.
- Work with external organisations, including Teagasc, County Councils, and other industry stakeholders on sustainability-related projects.
- Support programmes focused on water quality and sustainable farming practices.
- Manage workloads effectively, prioritising immediate requirements while delivering on longer-term objectives.
- Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
