This newly established leadership position offers the opportunity to define and deliver a growth strategy from inception, within an organisation distinguished by its scale and robust institutional backing.
The Role
As Head of New Business, you will own all commercial growth activity for the corporate pensions division — building and converting a high-quality pipeline of employer scheme opportunities, and leading the go-to-market strategy across broker and direct corporate channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the new business strategy for corporate pensions — segmentation, channel targeting and competitive positioning
- Build, manage and forecast a robust pipeline of employer scheme opportunities
- Lead RFP responses, pitch presentations and commercial negotiations for new corporate schemes
- Develop senior relationships with brokers, benefit consultants, trustees and industry bodies to drive referrals and visibility
- Grow direct relationships with large corporates, alongside established broker and bank distribution channels
- Partner with product, marketing, operations and compliance teams to ensure seamless client onboarding
- Provide accurate forecasting and market insight to senior leadership
- Lead and develop a team, fostering a strong, positive risk culture
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record in corporate pension, group risk or employee benefits new business/distribution
- Strong existing network among brokers, benefit consultants, trustees and/or corporate decision-makers
- Demonstrated success leading RFPs, pitches and commercial negotiations at a senior level
- QFA qualified, with a third-level degree
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and develop a team
