Our client, a leading international Facilities Management provider, is seeking a Facilities & Technical Services Manager to lead the delivery of integrated FM services within a high-profile higher education environment.
This is far more than a traditional FM role.
You'll be responsible for managing a technically complex building, overseeing specialist contractors, ensuring compliance, maintaining strong client relationships and driving operational excellence across both hard and soft services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day facilities and technical services operations.
- Manage hard and soft FM service delivery.
- Coordinate specialist contractors and service providers.
- Drive technical compliance and operational performance.
- Act as the key point of contact for client stakeholders.
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Ensure health, safety and statutory compliance standards are achieved.
- Oversee service delivery reporting, KPIs and contractual obligations.
- Support lifecycle planning, project works and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop strong working relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.
About You
- Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering or Technical Operations / trade background.
- Strong contractor and stakeholder management experience.
- Proven ability to manage complex operational environments.
- Commercially aware with excellent organisational skills.
- Strong focus on compliance, customer service and continuous improvement.
- Comfortable working within a technically demanding environment.
