Manufacturing Engineer

Salary up to £35k to 40k depending on experience
Our client, a leading manufacturer with a strong reputation for innovation and quality, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing engineering team based in Lisburn.
Key Responsibilities
Lead engineering activities associated with the introduction of new products into production.
Create and maintain technical documentation, engineering drawings, work instructions, bills of materials (BOMs), and costings.
Design and develop production jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing aids.
Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across fabrication and assembly operations.
Support production teams in improving quality, efficiency, and process capability.
Assist with the implementation and integration of new machinery and manufacturing technologies.
Support supplier selection, outsourcing projects, and subcontract manufacturing development.
Maintain technical documentation in line with relevant industry and quality standards.
Collaborate with design and R&D teams during product development projects.
Conduct product validation and testing to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
Essential Criteria
Third-level qualification in an Engineering related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
Experience carrying out Process FMEA studies and implementing resulting improvements.
Understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes, including plastics, aluminium, and steel.
Working knowledge of 3D CAD modelling software.
Experience using CAD/CAM software.
