AI & Automation Engineer
Cpl are partnering with a leading global organisation to hire an experienced AI & Automation Engineer for a senior position within its growing Dublin technology function. This is an opportunity to take ownership of enterprise automation solutions, combining hands-on engineering with AI, platform development and technical leadership.
The successful candidate will work across a modern automation landscape, helping design and deliver scalable solutions using technologies such as UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform and Tungsten Automation, while also exploring how Generative AI and agentic AI can be effectively integrated into business processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver enterprise automation solutions across multiple platforms.
- Build AI-enabled solutions incorporating intelligent document processing, knowledge discovery, summarisation and Generative AI.
- Develop and integrate automation solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, data sources and document platforms.
- Support the development of agentic and multi-agent AI solutions.
- Take technical ownership of automation solutions from initial design through to production and ongoing optimisation.
- Establish reusable development patterns and engineering standards across the automation environment.
- Work closely with business, technology, security and architecture teams on the delivery of new solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and development teams.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience within automation engineering, RPA, intelligent automation or a similar technology area.
- Hands-on experience with at least two of the following: UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform or Tungsten Automation.
- Experience delivering AI-enabled automation solutions within an enterprise environment.
- Exposure to Generative AI, intelligent document processing or agentic AI would be highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of APIs, system integration and enterprise applications.
- Understanding of modern software engineering practices including source control, testing and CI/CD.
- Previous experience taking technical ownership of automation platforms or complex solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience within financial services or another regulated environment would be an advantage.
