The Role
Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a paediatric service supporting mainstream schools across East London.
Details
The role involves working with children and young people in mainstream educational settings who have a range of sensory, developmental, and functional needs. You will support access to education through specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention. Sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.
Responsibilities
- Manage a paediatric caseload across mainstream schools
- Complete functional, sensory, and developmental assessments
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans
- Support pupils with sensory regulation, motor skills, and classroom participation
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to EHCPs and educational outcomes
- Provide training and guidance to school staff
- Maintain accurate clinical records and reports
Requirements
- HCPC registration
- Experience in paediatric occupational therapy, ideally in school or community settings
- Knowledge of sensory processing and neurodevelopmental needs
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Strong communication and organisational skills
