Senior Clinical Psychologist – adult healthcare services
Senior Clinical Psychologist required for community based organisation, providing a range of health and social care services including rehabilitation, residential and community care. This role will be split between neurology, aged related care and Rheumatology. We will consider applications from candidates interested in full and part-time opportunities.
As a Senior Psychologist, you will be responsible for leading and providing a psychology service within evidence-based quality and interdisciplinary healthcare environment. Duties and responsibilities include:
Undertaking clinical duties including psychological evaluation and assessment, psychotherapy, clinical and psychoeducational interventions with patients, their families and carer’s, health care professionals and or health care agencies.
Providing psychological assessments based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of data from a variety of sources including clinical interview, psychological tests, self-report measures, direct and indirect observation and collateral information from family, carers, clinical personnel staff and other persons as appropriate.
Contributing psychological perspectives and formulations to patient care and implementing plans for psychological interventions and or management based on the appropriate conceptual framework.
Maintaining autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and or management of patients attending psychology
Interest candidates are required to have:
A recognised postgraduate professional psychological qualification in Clinical, Counselling or Educational Psychology, accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland.
Candidates qualified outside the Republic of Ireland are required to hold validation of their qualifications by the Department of Health
A minimum of3 years post graduate clinical experience in a similar adult health and social care setting.
