An entrepreneurial, global quality insights and market research firm is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their management team in Little Island, Cork. This critical role oversees all aspects of finance, management accounting, and robust financial planning to support strategic business growth.
Key Requirements & Skills
- Experience running monthly payroll for a growing team of 50+ staff.
- Proven capability managing customer billing, timely invoicing, debtor collection, and overall treasury support.
- Certified or Chartered Accountant with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience within an SME environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting (preferred) with at least 2 years of financial accounting experience, including monthly financial statement preparation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (SAGE is a distinct advantage). Strong analytical, multitasking, and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver full monthly financial statements, manage AP/AR, and oversee books of prime entry.
- Handle monthly supplier payments, monitor input costs, and collaborate with the Finance Director on profitability initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with VAT, tax, and secretarial filings; coordinate the annual external audit.
- Act as an active member of the company's Management Team and assist with ad-hoc projects.
