My client is a leading Irish third-party logistics (3PL) and supply chain specialist, trusted by top national and international brands for high-performance warehousing and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end financial oversight and strategy for the Distribution division.
- Develop and manage business unit budgets, aligning targets in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Finalise, review, and analyze weekly P&L reports; hold weekly performance reviews with depot heads.
- Monitor and evaluate depot expenses to drive profitability, ensuring operational teams adhere to budgetary guidelines.
- Partner with the Business Development team on tenders, quotations, pricing agreements, and contract reviews.
- Take full responsibility for key supplier accounts and financial management.
- Lead quarterly financial reviews for the Distribution unit, presenting performance metrics and insights to the C-suite and Senior Management team (CEO, CFO, COO).
- Partner with the Financial Accounting team during quarterly reporting cycles, leading variance analysis and supporting Group accounts preparation.
- Provide tailored financial reports, modeling, and analysis as needed by executive leadership.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Fully Qualified Accountant with 7+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Exceptional commercial mindset with a proven track record of influencing key business partners and operational leaders.
- Strong analytical rigor paired with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, highly adaptable, and proactive; demonstrates high integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to balance independent work with cross-functional teamwork.
- Willingness and ability to travel to various depot and site locations across Ireland.
