Role: Test Lead
Type: 6 Month Contract
Start: 1st October 2026
Day Rate: £537 (Umbrella Equivalent Rate)
Location: Farborough | Hybrid (3 days on Site)
Our client is seeking a Test Lead to support the planning, management and execution of testing activities across multiple systems.
Responsibilities
- Understand high-level initiatives and detailed requirements, identifying the test scenarios required to prove delivery, including: SIT Testing | Business UAT Testing | Technical Data Synchronisation Testing | Testing of related operational processes to ensure ongoing stability | Support for Production Acceptance Testing and Hypercare
- Formalise and present a strategic approach to testing technical and business use case scenarios across multiple systems.
- Highlight risks and obstacles to testing completion and, where possible, identify options to overcome them.
- Create and clarify test scripts and scenarios for both business and technical audiences.
- Plan, prioritise, manage and report on testing progress across preparation and execution phases, including clear user story definition to support sprint-based delivery.
- Run meetings with business and technical stakeholders to support detailed testing activities.
- Attend central test calls, actively identifying and communicating impacts and scope locally.
- Lead and attend defect triage calls.
- Oversee junior test execution activities.
Experience & Qualification
- Strong experience in Test Execution and Management
- Ability to work independently and drive delivery with minimal oversight.
- Experience presenting testing approaches, progress and complex testing topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
