Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist – Paediatrics (Neurodisabilities) Location: Buckinghamshire Role Type: Permanent Salary: £47,976 Sponsorship: Available The Role Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join an independent specialist charity school supporting children aged 3–16 with neurodisabilities, including cerebral palsy. Details This is an excellent opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessment and intervention for children with complex communication needs. You will support pupils to develop their communication skills, maximise participation, and improve their independence within a specialist educational environment. Responsibilities Manage a specialist paediatric Speech and Language Therapy caseload Complete communication, language, speech, and swallowing assessments where appropriate Develop and deliver personalised therapy programmes Support children with neurodisabilities, including cerebral palsy and complex communication needs Provide AAC assessment and support where required Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, teachers, families, and wider professionals Contribute to EHCPs, annual reviews, and multidisciplinary reports Provide advice, training, and communication strategies to school staff and parents/carers Maintain accurate clinical documentation and outcome measures Requirements HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist Experience working within paediatric or specialist educational settings Knowledge of neurodisabilities, complex communication needs, and AAC approaches Experience supporting children with physical and learning disabilities is desirable Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team Benefits Competitive salary of £47,976 Sponsorship available for eligible candidates Opportunity to work within a specialist charity school setting Supportive multidisciplinary team environment Ongoing CPD, training, and career development opportunities Applying for roles If you are interested in this position, please get in touch to discuss further opportunities.
