Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Paediatrics (Neurodisabilities) Location: Buckinghamshire Role Type: Permanent Salary: £46,580 Sponsorship: Available The Role Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a school in Buckinghamshire, an independent specialist charity school supporting children aged 3–16 with neurodisabilities, including cerebral palsy. Details This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for children with complex physical and developmental needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils maximise their independence, participation, and quality of life through evidence-based, child-centred therapy. Responsibilities Manage a specialist paediatric occupational therapy caseload Complete comprehensive functional, physical, sensory, and developmental assessments Develop and deliver individualised therapy programmes Support children with neurodisabilities, including cerebral palsy, to improve functional independence Recommend specialist equipment, seating, and environmental adaptations Work collaboratively with teachers, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, families, and the wider multidisciplinary team Contribute to EHCPs, annual reviews, and clinical reports Provide training and practical strategies to school staff and parents/carers Maintain accurate clinical documentation and outcome measures Requirements HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist Experience working within paediatric or specialist educational settings Knowledge of neurodisabilities, including cerebral palsy, and complex physical needs Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and report-writing skills Excellent communication and organisational abilities Ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary team Benefits Competitive salary of £46,580 Sponsorship available for eligible candidates Opportunity to work within a specialist charity school Supportive multidisciplinary team environment Ongoing CPD, supervision, and career development opportunities Applying for roles If you are interested in this position, please get in touch to discuss further opportunities.
